An old photograph



Yesterday my brother asked me to help him with his chinese essay homework and said that it can be on any topic. I flipped his sch's model compo book for a while and set my eyes on the topic "An old Photograph". I spent an hour working on the essay and in the end what my brother did was just to copy my essay word for word and submit as his own work. -_-'''

Btw, after I wrote finish the compo I'm so proud of myself! Haha, coz I havent been writing an essay for more than 4 yrs le, so to me, that standard to me is good. Haha.. Flattering myself..But my the other bro said that it was too lousy. Post the essay up,share ur views.

一张发黄的照片

期待已久的日子终于到了，今天是我们一家搬家的日子。我被妈妈分配到储藏室去整理物品。储藏室里又暗灰尘又多，而且还弥漫着一股酸酸的湿气味。在整理其中一个旧箱子时，我无意间发现一张发黄的照片。照片上有一个漂亮的妙龄小姐坐在一个旧式的缝纫机旁。即使照片已经很破旧了，但我还是可以清楚地看到那女子圆圆的大眼睛和她那和蔼可亲的笑容。这女子到底是谁呢？我对这照片看了许久，还是莫不着头脑。

“妈妈,这照片里的人是谁啊?”我好奇地跑到客厅去询问妈妈。妈妈伸手把照片接了过去，看着看着，眼眶便湿了。

“到底是谁啊？”

“孩子，她是我的母亲，也就是你的外婆啊。”妈妈说。

后来，从妈妈的口中，我得知关于这张照片的一切，也更加了解自己从未见过的外婆。外婆是一名裁缝师的女儿，从小在父亲的熏陶下，自己也爱上缝制衣服，手艺了得。照片便是在外婆十六岁时照的。当时社会比较保守，很少有自由恋爱结婚的例子。而在外公外婆相亲前，交到外公手上的照片便是这一张照片。当时的外公对照片里的外婆一见钟情，也就因为这张照片，促成了一段美好的姻缘。

婚后，两人继承外婆父亲的裁缝店，并有了五个子女。然而，好景不长，就在妈妈五岁的时候，外婆因为一场意外过世了。那时外公因为有应酬外出，裁缝店意外失火时，外婆奋不顾生地冲回火场去搭救一名员工，不幸葬生火海。后来，外公独立抚养五个子女成长，坚持不再娶。

妈妈偷偷地用衣角抹去眼泪，说：“你外公去年病逝前，躺卧在床上瘦弱不堪的他还紧紧地握着这张照片，嘱咐我们要把它收藏好。可见他还是深爱着你的外婆啊。”

回到储藏室的我，小心翼翼地把照片放回箱子里。我坐在储藏室的一个角落沉思着。不知为什么，我顿时有许多感触。一张发黄的照片，看似不起眼，但却埋藏着许多事迹：刻苦铭心的爱情；外婆的见义勇为；外公的伟大。。。

Haha, nv have I been so glad that I chose Samsung Jet to be my phone. Today while watching the last 2nd epi of Shining Inheritance, I realised that my Seung gi (in his character of hwan) changes his phone to my phone! Wahaha! And the 2nd male lead of the show as well. So according to the tradition of CF endorsing on k-drama in korea, it means that my phone is the latest hit in korea and it's even newer than the Samsung Haptic phone that I previously wanted. =)

And yep, tomor last epi of the drama, hwan and ensung are together at last. Hee hee.

And tomor is also the start of the bidding period. For round 1 is still quite alright as 2 modules are pre-allocated to us and we only have to bid for another 2 using 1 pt each. Stress part always comes during round 2 when bidding for the electives... haix.. hope to get the mod i wanted.

Yesterday, me, jaz and yuwei had dinner together. Becoz joce can't make it, we changed our cooking plan to "takeaway" food instead. -_-'''... haha... But I still enjoyed myself though I got a bit too full after having the fried rice which I longed for months. =)

Looking forward to dinner at korean restaurant this coming sun wif joce and aiting. =)

Han Fan Ju Le Bu


My club's advertising poster made by one of my coordinator, nice?

This is the name of the k-club I've created a month ago. Today, the club has 264 official members and 2 coordinator. I have put in a lot of effort in this by constantly posting new korean entertainment news, latest drama and variety downloads, etc. I'm especially glad that more than 10 members joined in the club each day, and the club is growing bigger in size. =)

And btw, next wk will be the start of my bidding period... sianx.. damn stress.. Im not sure how my timetable for this coming sem will be like but surely I have to change most of my current tuition schedule to match well wif the former. This may mean giving up 1 or 2 of my current assignment. Sianx, I dun noe which assgn to give up coz I seriously dun wish to give up any... haix.

Then few days ago, I went shopping alone for 3 hrs. And guess wat, I spent 150 bucks on clothes in such short time... haha..broke~

Harry Potter!!!



I went to watch Harry Potter & the Half-blood Prince with my pri sch frenz rui ling, pei yi and xiao xin tonight. Lol, when I told my student about it earlier on during my tuition, she was like "huh? your pri sch frenz still remembers u?" Proudly, I answered "of course lar." Haha, its been months since i last met them but well, we still got much to talk about.. heh heh.. even planning for the next outing liao.

Back to Harry Potter. Personally, I find the movie nice and in fact, one of the best Harry Potter movie in the series. Long movie yet not boring, some parts were funny and some were quite scary(The hand suddenly come out from the water part)... All actors performed pretty well too. I love the character Ron especially, he's so cute and funny! Lol, tat's y hermoine falls in love wif him!

Mind Cafe



I had a lot of fun today playing board games wif jaslin and jia tian at Mind Cafe. Its really a nice place for friends to hang out and we would nv be bored. The games are fun, the atmosphere are good...Love the intense and excitement of the strategic games, lol. However, I nv like playing games that requires fast reaction. Coz I know I would surely lose de... I'm really a stone! haha.. I definitely would like to visit it again =)

And I'm so happy that my k-club has 97 official members now, and it's constantly increasing! Haha, glad that ppl appreciated my efforts for putting up all the hot k-news and k-dwonloads. And being a club-starter, it feels good to hold the greatest authority among the 90+ members. heh heh...

Science Centre - The DaVinCi Exhibition



Today, I met up with yu wei at around 1 at JP. She told me on phone that she was near Dano shop and was having an interview. I thought she went for job interview! haha, turns out that she was just being interviewed by some JC ppl regarding their PW project (i guess so...). During the 2 hrs of shopping, I bought 2 shoes while yu wei spent much on her facial products, got pestered by the angmoh sales, shared to buy coffee powder (me for the free Lam Feng's poster while yu wei for the free coffee cup)... haha.. even saw the TV host wang lu jiang.

Around 3, joce joined us and the 3 of us head down to Science Centre to support Jaz's tour on the DaVinCi exhibition. I'm impressed, not wif the exhibitions drawings but wif Jaz's explanation. She sounded so professional! **3 cheers for her!** But its not long till we became bored of the monotonous paintings and got out from the tour group. Leaving jaz still at work, we 3 found a nice sofa (suprisingly in sc centre!) and chatted for 3 hrs! So if u were to ask me what have I learnt or seen at that exhibition, I would say I learnt nothing and seen nothing. Fortunately we got in the sc centre for free or else the 15 bucks would be a huge waste of $ for us. haha...

Tired and hungry, we take train to Causeway (my hometown!) for dinner. Its so funny when joce "snatched" the seats from the same indian guy TWICE!!! Lol... poor guy, i really pity him... We gals are the typical "ugly singaporeans" LOL. Poor me only had a bowl of beancurd for dinner while joce ordered my fav dish- curry chicken again.. Arghh... During the dinner, the next tai tai gathering was settled to be nxt nxt sat night where each of us will be responsible for one dish and gather at jaz condo area... nice.. imagine the quiet night, spagetthi, prawn dumpling, nuggets, popcorn chicken, puddings and sparkling wine.... Really looking forward to it! =)

Busy. For nothing



Recently, I found that I don't have enough time for each day. I can sleep 12 hours per day, and that lefts me wif the remaining 12 hours. 4-5 hours for tuition, 2-3 hours for drama and a few hours slacking here and there... haha.. so basically my life now revolves around tuition & drama. I had activities filled up for the next few days.. tommor taitai's gathering, sun meet up wif uni frenz, tues dinner wif sj & bs they all... next sun k-singing wif cousin, most prob ask pri sch frenz out to watch Harry Potter next next wk... woohoo~

Pain~~

I lost another 2 teeth today. Haha, the extracted teeth this time are even longer than last week's and I have to keep swallowing my bloody saliva... (NC16).. haha.. Having 2 teeth extracted last week, my mum said that my face becomes slimmer. Lol, ppl say that orthodontics is a kind of cosmetic surgery that changes one's look. Or perhaps it just that I'm forced to consume special diet (no meat!!! cry~) for the past few weeks. I have another dental appointment next wk, my orthodontist wants to start shifting my teeth. I can say that the process is quite fast given that I only started this 1 month ago.

Yesterday, I was glad to know that I have secured my indicated choice of tutorial slot for one of my next sem's module, together wif my uni frenz. Haix, start to feel stress even though the bidding only starts 1 month later. Shall face the stressful bidding routine once again... arghh..
