New Handphone~

I bought a new phone yesterday! I decided on Samsung Jet after a few days of research, went online to look through all the reviews and stuff. I gave up on waiting for Anycall Haptic phone and LG Lollipop phone coz it may take 6-12 months for it to be sold in S'pore. But seriously, these phones are really cool, got personalised lid designs on covers and even a mini projector! I also eyed on the Nokia N97 phone but its too ex.. $789... crazy sia!

Later that night, I met yu wei, beatrice, si jie and boon siew for dinner to celebrate Beatrice's birthday. She changed a lot! I'm not sure if its becoz she reborned her hair but her face slimed down a lot... haha.. maybe she's too stressed over her piano-teaching le.. =)

And today, I went for tooth extraction... Its only a bit painful, thanks to the painkillers... I was a bit shocked when I saw my 2 extracted teeth, the root of each of my teeth are so long and bloody... disgusting. And I'll be going for extraction of 2 other teeth next wk.. sianx... Couldn't get to smile for months le...

Smiling~

These days, kids really can't live without a tuition teacher, or in fact, it is the parents who can't live without one. Singapore parents are very kiasu, they think that their kids will lose out to others if they don't have tuition... I had my 1st tuition in pri 2, my bro had his first in K2. And my last tuition was when I was in JC. So I'm 1 of them who can't live without a tuition teacher. Haha... And now that I'm in uni, I myself become a tuition teacher as well! LOL

This morning I went Yishun for tuition. After the lesson, the mother told me that his son likes my way of teaching. And that really made my day. =)

I'm glad that I am not just a "tutor" to the kids but also a mentor and friend to them. During our 1st lesson, this boy, christopher, had a bit of an attitude. But now, he does all his hw, talks to me about what books he read and what games he likes to play and also proudly show me his drawings. The 2 sisters, Catherine & Cynthia likes to stick wif me and always ask me what stickers I will be giving them the next lesson. Cynthia also said that I'm pretty(sweet!) =). My another student, Iffah, even shared with me who were her secret admirer & read her diary to me. Clever Ilijah loves to tell me about the stuff he learnt in the science encyclopaedia.

These kids are so adorable that I can't bear to give up any of them when the school reopens. I learnt a lot as I teach them, get to brush up my own grammar (for this blog, I dun care abt it though), vocab and even multipication tables. And I truly enjoyed teaching them. =)

Happy Birthday Bro!

Today is my youngest bro birthday. So I took him out for lunch cum ice-cream at Swenson. Luckily its still alright for me to eat the soft fish&chips and his birthday cake. But I still got difficulty munching fries yet... haha.. Have to endure!

I was a bit down this few days as the china sub team for my k-variety shows "Family Outing" and "2days1night" are having exams currently and won't be able to sub the latest episodes for me. These shows have been my only motivation that help me to "struggle" through this boring holiday... Haix, my dae sung, my jong kook, my seung gi~~~ Cry ~~~

Tai Tai's Gathering

At last, after several times of postponing, the tai tai's gathering was held today. And something different about today's gathering was that it's my first outing wif my braces on... -_-''' heh... So btw, I met joce and ai ting at Wisma. Instead of having lunch at a restaurant which we always do, we ate at Food Republic. And yeah, that's for the sake of me as it's really hard to find places which serves food that doesn't requires biting. It's really tempting to watch ppl around me eating solid food given that I have been feeding on liquid stuff for one whole wk. And what's more? Joce who sat right infront of me ate my favourite dish - Curry Chicken... Arghhh..

What ai ting said was absolutely right, today's gathering was like a buffet trip... After lunch and 1 hr of shopping, we stepped in Coffee Club for "high-tea" again, this time wif Daniel joining us. But poor me only had some potato soup and mash potato while the rest enjoyed delicious beef dish, choco cake... Cry~~ Then, 2 hrs after the "high-tea", we had dinner at Cineleisure hk restaurant having bean curd, porridge and my fav yuan yang milk tea... haha... So who says putting braces on will lose weight de?

After dinner, we watched "Ghost of Girlfriends Past" movie. The movie was not bad, at least it wasn't boring.. haha... And yes, thanks daniel for the treat for our "high tea", dinner, movie and cab today, really appreciate it. =) Really hope that the next outing would be at Sentosa beach wif yu wei, jaz and wei chong joining us. =)

I look like Ugly Betty!!!

Yep, today I finally took out the stupid teeth separator and put on braces(now less painful, suprisingly). I went to the main clinic located at orchard this morning. I had a x-ray and teeth-polished before having my braces being put on. Seriously, I dun understand y my dentist did not asked me about my choice of braces. I had wanted to put on ceramic braces (those translucent/white de) even though I knew it will cost more. But before I asked him about it, he already cemented the braces on my teeth liao... -_-''' haix... too bad, got to stick wif the ugly metal pieces for 2 plus years le...

However, Im glad that I chose a private one coz I heard that the public de have to be on waiting list for about at least 3 years unless the teeth looks really bad. And my dentist is nice, at least he's not rough when working on my teeth and I had minimum pain.

And talk about diet. I stocked up my fridge with milks and yogurts today. Gotta have them and porridge for breakfast + lunch + dinner for around 1-2 weeks until my teeth gain back its strength to bite. Haha... U would surely see me drooling in-front of the food when u guys are having lunch/dinner wif me... Coz I can only order soup/drinks recently...

Pain!!!

Yesterday was my first visit to the dentist for consultation on braces... The dentist said that my teeth are too tight and hence have to put in separator to widen the gaps between of my teeth in order to put in braces in the future. And tat also means the separator will make my teeth even tighter (like a few rubber bands stuck in the gaps of teeth and tat cost $280!!! I felt okay when he just put them in for me, can even go teach tuition after that and had my lunch bee hoon. But a few hours after the visit, the pain starts to gets unbearable. My gums got swollen and I can hardly bite anything! Its like having a toothache but the pain comes from every side of my mouth. KFC for dinner last night was a torture to me and its so painful that I can't sleep for the whole of last night.

Then tommor I will be heading to the main dental clinic at orchard for X-ray and putting of braces.... Another $1200 will be gone on tat day... Damn, sorta regret doing this... spending a few k for such totures... I only hope to speak more clearly so that my friends won't keep asking me to repeat stuff.... Haix...
