Q-E-T




I was a bit down when I heard of my QET result from Bryan this afternoon. Yep, I gotta spend four hours per week on an english module which does not even contribute to my module credits. As wat my forum friend has said, it's a waste of time.

But I'm alright now, lol. All thanks to my mum. She was right, my foundation on English is weak, so I should juz treat it as a free english tuition rather than a chore. If these lessons can help me brush up my language skills, well, y not? Ha ha, but I guess I have to adjust my time-table a bit to include tat module. =)

There's quite a no. of countdown for me to do recently: 2 more days till end of work, 1 more lesson till end of korean class, abt 1 wk more till sch starts, etc. Time really flies, I was just a sec sch student a while ago and now I'm an undergraduate! ( -_-"'ok, I noe I still look like sec sch student...tats wat my new OG de friend mentioned to me this mon..lol.)

I really miss Chen! Its really pathetic tat we have to use MSN offline message to "chat" wif each other. I guess both of us r juz too busy, till now we still can't be online at the same time...Haix, actually I prefer to talk to her through phone, but oversea call is really ex...

Oh, and I didn't know I was missed as well..Lol, Its sweet to know from yu wei tat she actually wrote a letter to me. thanks thanks =)

I really missed her!



Todae I went NUS (again!) for the module-bidding thingy. I really regret for coming coz the bidding "tutorial" only took around 20 mins of the whole 8-9 hrs event. *Knock Head* Should have went for work like wat bryan and jaslin did... But I'm glad I've made a few new friends from other OGs. =)

Chen, my best friend, has been away for around 2 months le... Her 22nd birthday is coming soon.. I really miss her! I've got so so so much things (uni, new friends, new experiences, etc) to share wif her!!!

In the past, whenever she went back china, she will always be back in 2 months time. Even on the day I sent her off at the airport, I still dun feel tat she is going to leave me for more than 5 years. During these past few weeks, I started to feel it le.

The songs we sang before, the conversations we had before, the clothes we bought together..all these makes me feel nostalgic... Our gathering will nv be as fun without her. I miss the gossips, miss her big big theory on politics & philosophy...miss her interesting true stories, miss her recommendations on make-up, bags & shoe,etc..

Me, joce & ai ting planned to go Shanghai nxt summer holi to visit her. Coz she will be back from US during her summer holi. Really hope to see her real soon! All the best, Chen!

Free & Easy



It really seems that I'm the most free ppl among my friends.

Only jia tian and jaslin came for the time-table discussion organised by me. But its also quite good as in less ppl means less conflicting opinions & save time. I do really hope tat we guys can still get together as an OG even though we r in diff course or classes. Then joyce cant make it for tommor, the rest are tbc. Haix...

I have already got a CCA in my mind le. Its voices aka chinese pop singing club... hehe, happened to notice the small section in the brochure last night. I have contacted the person-in-charge, she said there will be an audition and I am supposed to prepare a song! Well, I knew I can sing but I guess I will be damn nervous when singing to the strangers! God bless~~

I wan to Sing



I had the urge to sing this few days. Too bad my cousin was preparing for her A's this yr & can't accompany me to go k-box. Tats y I spent the whole of Wed night singing infront of my lappy, playing songs from I tunes. I'm really crazy le... Sing till no voice still continue to sing. And I deliberately chose those high pitch songs to satisfy my crave for singing... Haha..

Went to NUS for Registration Day today. I met Jia Tian at Clementi Mrt Station then rush to SDE. The briefing already started when we reached the LT, lol. Boring talks. After tat we were released. Me, jia tian, jaslin, bryan & matt ate some buffet food tat was prepared for the freshman then went down-stairs for registration. Gosh, I didnt realised Bryan was 1 of my blog reader! HaHa, now he knew the secrets tat our OG gals r talking abt.. =P

I'm assigned to a new OG, but tat includes 9 of my previous OG friends, lol. The rest of the new OG mates r a bit shy and didnt talked much. I'm glad I attended the OC previously, at least I wont feel like a "loner" in the gp. =)

After another round of loooong boooring talks, the OG had lunch at the canteen. I can't believe that the canteen food was so cheap! Wow, food around 1 plus to 2 plus while drinks r around 50-0 cents! The taste was not bad too, comparable to the outside hawker centre ones.

"What is the best gift your parents had given to you?"



Today the DJ asked this question which I thought was quite meaningful.

The best gift my parents gave me will be a complete and harmonious family. I'm glad that I can often giggle and chat wif every of my family members and share all my happenings to them.

Another thing was the freedom they gave me. They nv place high expectations on my sch work. Everytime I said I've scored badly, they will be the 1 saying, "Its alright wat, u have tried ur best le." I remember there's even 1 time when I'm sec 3, my dad help me write parents' letter to let me skip sch to study for the subsequent day bio test. And becoz of tat, I will keep pushing myself harder so that I wont let them down.

Small caring stuff they did were also the best thing they gave me. When I juz mentioned I feel like eating fried bee-hoon for breakfast unintentionally, my dad will go buy it the nxt morning. When I mentioned my high heels hurt my legs unintentionally, my mum will go buy the protective pads. Its smt really small but it really touched me.

So if u asked y I wan to choose RE, I would say its the course tat I'm eligible for and provides me wif the best future compared to other courses. Y? I wan to earn big bucks! Y? becoz I hope to give my parents the best in the future! I hope they can enjoy their retirement, can travel to all sorts of countries, eat the best food in the best restaurant, look at the best scenary.

There was 1 time I went to NUS wif my dad. I pointed to the SDE building and said tat is where I will be studying. I'll nv forget the smile on my dad's face.

Well, parents can be a source of motivation on their child's studies. There's a story tat I've read which is meaningful too. Till now, everytime I read it, I will still cry again. Juz wan to share it:

第一次参加家长会，幼儿园的老师说：“你的儿子有多动症，在板凳上连三分钟都坐不了，你最好带他去医院看一 看。” 回家的路上，儿子问她老师都说了些什么?她鼻子一酸，差点流下泪来，因为全班30位小朋友，惟有他表现最差 ；惟有对他，老师表现出不屑。然而，她还是告诉了她的儿子： “老师表扬你了，说宝宝原来在板凳上坐不了一分钟，现在能坐三分钟了。其他的妈妈都羡慕妈妈，因为全班只有 宝宝进步了。” 那天晚上，她儿子破天荒地吃了两碗米饭，并且没让她喂。

高中毕业了。一个第一批大学录取通知书下达的日子。学校打电话让她儿子去一趟。她有一种预感，她儿子被清华 录取了，因为在报考时，她对儿子说过，她相信他能考取这所学校，她儿子从学校回来，把一封印有清华大学招生 办公室的特快专递交到她的乎里，突然转身跑到自己房间里大哭起来，边哭边说：“妈妈……我一直都知道我不是 个聪明的孩子，是您……” 这时，她悲喜交加，再也按捺不住十几年来凝聚在心中的泪水，任它打在手中的信封上。

Stupid Idiot Me!!!



I cant believe my bag (wif wallet inside) got stolen in my house!!! Gosh, I was too careless to put it on the sofa near the door. It went missing since sunday evening when I last seen it. I was at home the whole sunday! And I have searched every possible place in my house. Such a big bag shouldnt be tat hard to find rgt? So my mum came out wif a conclusion: Its being stolen.

U may wonder how the bag got stolen even I was at home for the whole day. Well, I am busy at the kitchen trying to bake Egg Tarts for the 1st time. It turns out great btw, though not as compatible to the ones sold in bakery shops.

Barbie Doll Hair





Its been quite some time since my last entry. Well, I'm super ULTRA busy this few days. Taking abt last sat, I had my 1st OG outing wif my uni friends. Most ppl din turn up except for me, angeline, mei ying, jia tian, kennix, jun han, raj plus some OGLs. Had dinner at Vivo de white dog cafe. Raj only came after everyone has eaten finish. when his food came, he said he will wait for the rest before he start eating. So funny, he tot we r still waiting for our eating when we had already eaten! Cute! After tat, the whole gp kenna force by christina to play the "I had never ever.." game... -_-"'... quite fun anyway, I enjoyed myself :)

Then sunday I went for my hair appointment, they washed my hair for countless of time, made me sit for 5 plus hours... haix... It looks quite nice at first. But the nxt day when I woke up, I'm horrified to see tat there's no curl anymore! I quickly called + email complains to them, then they refer me to retification work for thurs. Damn freak out lor, dun wanna spend so much money to get a lousy hair! Then I applied leave on thurs to get my hair re-permed. this time it looks too curled liao, lol, ok la, should look better after a few days ba.. haha. After tat got to rush back JJC to get my A'level cert. Dun really feel nostalgic when I went there... umm, maybe I dun have much memories there ba..

Applied for leave today too coz of the stupid QET. I prayed hard they wont choose my paper and dun let me fail! I dun wanna take another 2 modules of Eng! I'm sick of it le. Gosh, the essay was on Bio-tech, dunno anything abt it lor... so I juz anyhow crap through...Lol..

After tat I went mac to have lunch wif jia tian, kai wei, angeline, jeremy & kennix. Me & jia tian super confused abt the bidding of courses lor. Too bad clever kennix wont in RE, or else we can ask him to clear our doubts... Then later we 2 went for our 1st Rag meeting. I enjoyed tracing the robots' costumes most.. haha, get to know new friends from Industrial design and Archi too. =)

Conclusion: Tired & toturing but meaningful week. Gotta rest well during sun. (sorrie joce, for cancelling this sun's gathering coz I need to recover..Ps. =P )

Recovering...



Havent fully recovered form the camp yet. The camp is over but I still cant seem to get enough slp. Yesterday I had lunch wif Bs and Sj at causeway. Then around 3 meet joyce and At at AMK hub. Actually There isnt much place to shop abt, but I don noe y I bought a lot of things and spend near 100 bucks!

Bought fountation, eyeliner, shoe, bag, top, etc... haix... I should really put away my ATM card le, or else I cant stop spending $!!! plus I got more than enough clothes & shoes for the start of uni life le... lol

Had a great time wif joyce and At( still go taka food fair to eat free samples somemore..lol), but we still feel a bit wierd without the presence of chen... haix, only can see her earliest nxt may ba... =( miss her!!!

SDE Freshman Orientation

I'm back!!! This camp is damn tiring but damn fun!!! Lol. Well, bear wif me, gotta tell long stories now. If dun wan read its fine, see photos can liao.



1st day:
Went NUS de SDE foyer early in the morning to register. After I got in my OG S-club 7 and make some friends, 1 OGL told me I got in the wrong OG... Luckily I remained in the OG after pleading them.We practised some cheers and played some simple games like ice-breaking, the "strip" game, etc. Raj was hilarious man! He even strip down his pants! haha.

After tat we went for some station games... most of them were very challenging and fun. But I hate the mouth to mouth racing game coz I got eggs on my hair! Tat makes me smell for the rest of the days...haix.

The most most challenging one will be the takashi game where near 100ppl will try to climb up the soapy slippery slope.

Then after dinner, we played a blind date game called "Fate". Everyone, being blindfolded, would have to use a fake nickname and was taken to different tables to meet their "dates". Then we had to chat with them without knowing their looks and real names. Got a very wierd feeling. Dun noe how to describe tat. A bit...erm.. feel insecure coz cannot see anything. So tat night I've met "Fiona Xie", "Bruce Lee", "Jennifer Lopez", etc.. super funny lor. Then in the midst of this strange date, the OGLs kept disturbing us like pouring water on our backs, applying chilli sauce on our arms and blowing air to our ears...-_-"'

We stayed overnight at the yusof hall hostel. 2 per single bedroom. Shared the room wif angeline but still dun understand she prefered sleeping on the table instead of the bed I offered to her.



2nd day:
Should be considered a more relaxing day. Thank god there's no dirty and wet games.We did a mass dance which includes the salsa dance steps. I always got mix up of the steps lo.. Bryan was my dance partner (& game partner for most of the time). Quite a nice guy..haha. He also always forgot cheers lyrics when leading the gp, especially the "estacy ar wah buai jia" was funny!

Then We also played another round of station games and we won quite fairly. I think tats becoz our group r quite enthu and bonded. Tat night, we gotta create our OG's banner and our group took the longest time to finish it. I think tats becoz we spent too much time on deciding the design to be used. I'm impressed wif Chun Han's drawing of dragons (tats when he got himself a nickname "dragon boy"..Lol..) He even tot of using grass to make the dragon's scales. Then when we finished everything, its around 1 plus or 2 liao.

Tat day our OG scored the most points. We r a bit shocked coz we didnt really won much games. But we think tat our team spirit and cheers scored us many of the bonus points. haha.

After bathing, we gals gathered into jeslin's room for "strictly gals meeting". We talked abt 1 plus hrs abt almost everything, exp: the boys, uni, etc... But Matthew was one of main topic tat we had gossip abt, lol.. Stuff like "Man of no words" and "corridor apple-eating"... We laughed so loudly tat the nxt door (bryan & chun han) even heard us mentioned some names.. =P



3rd day:
Another tiring day, we went to the multi-purpose field for our telematch. I like games like the hamburger and ice-breaking treasure. But some games r really violent. For the "captain ball" game, I had to snatch the "ball" which is a chicken and squid. In the midst of the game, the organs even came out (argh, super disgusting and smelly..). Then the soapy hockey game was even worse, everyone r so violent and eager to get the goal!

So when we went back back hostel to rest, everyone was totally drenched and exhausted. We did a simple wash up (tat jeremy and kenix still can go for nap..Lol) then went back foyer for another round of mass dance, water-melon breaking competition (tats really funny too, 1 guy of each OG gotta strip and gave macho pose for ppl to take photo then use head to break open watermelons...)

Oh, I was touched when the OGLs got breakfast, ice-cream and Pi Pa Gao for us, they r really nice!

After tat, our OG combine wif one of the archi fac OG to plan a MTV performance. We planned our dance and made the props till around 2 plus again. Then After bathing, we gals went in OGL's room for the gals meeting (again). I knocked off finally around four.



4th day:
The bad thing is tat we gotta wake up at six in the morning coz we got to head to Sentosa for games early. So basically I oni slept for 2 hrs!

So I slept (and almost the rest of the OG) on the bus heading to Sentosa. We went many stations for our games. One fun one was the "Volleyball Game" where guy and girl hold a T-shirt to toss the ball which is a waterbomb. Another challenging one was the human-pyramid in the water. After the games we gals juz wash ourselves at the shower stand and change into the Orientation T. While waiting for bus, we played the animal version of concentration game which was quite fun as well. =)

When everyone reached, our OG had a little bit time for some rehearsal for the MTV performance and we are on! (oh, raj really look sexy on his tube dress, haha) We were shocked to hear tat we r the champion! haha... coz I think other OGs did a good job too.

For dinner, this time, I'm having it wif my dates tat I am wif on the 1st night of "Fate"...at last we noe how one another looks like le...Lol.. we had a nice chat while eating the chicken chop then played some games later.

Then we went back to respective OGs to watch videos. Went down to foyer again. Dance (again). Cheer (again again). Annouce winning team, we r glad tat we got the most-enthu OG award!
Haha, though we did not get the best OG but in our heart, S-club 7 is the Champion! Then break camp. Take photos (again again again)... Had some nice chat after we got our barang barang.
And thank god they released us earlier than expected, coz in that case dun need to take cab.

Went home wif Matthew and Jeremy and Jia tian... Then chat a little on MRT wif the 2 guys too. Then when I got home, it was around 12 plus liao. Then after wash-up its around 1 plus when I slept.

Plus today need to go work at six plus, juz now after work go teach tuition.

I'm damn tired now and wish to go slp. Btw, the camp was fun and I indeed make lots of friends. Many thanks to everyone!
